Red Lobster Copycat Biscuit Bread

Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup dried parsley a cupped palmful
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup sour cream or plain Greek yogurt
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 egg, beaten

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F/180°C and prepare a 9x5" loaf pan with baking spray
  • Measure the dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Stir the cheese in and use your fingers to break up any clumps.
  • In a separate bowl, beat all the wet ingredients together.
  • Mix the wet ingredients into the dry until just mixed, a few lumps are ok.
  • Transfer to the loaf pan and bake for 45 - 50 minutes. Cover the top with foil if necessary to prevent over browning.
  • After baking remove the loaf from the pan and allow to cool completely before slicing.
