Recipes made from food you have on hand
These are strange days. It’s my hope that this selection of flexitarian pantry and freezer meals will be of some help during this crazy period of time.
As I write this my home state Maryland has shut down all non essential businesses and wants everyone to remain at home. That’s all well and good, but where my son lives, it has been difficult for him to purchase basic staples like meat, flour, eggs and of course toilet paper. If this sounds like your situation, you may have to deal with what you have until the madness subsides and the stores are able to restock. This post will focus on vegetarian pantry and freezer meal recipes. I’ll have a follow up post with one dish meals and casseroles which use more meat.
Many of my fellow bloggers are posting their own pantry and storage meals as well. If what you see here doesn’t suit try a web search on “Pantry Dinners” or “Storage Meals” or even search by the ingredients you’re interested in cooking.
If you have any questions about how to feed yourself and your loved ones, please ask in the comments and I’ll do my best to help you find an answer.
