Welcome back to Meatless Mondays, our month long party dedicated to helping you go meatless every Monday.
Besides helping your family eat more vegetables, did you know by cutting back on meat you’re also saving fuel?
If your family abstains from eating one pound of meat per week, that’s equivalent to the amount of fuel needed to drive 1664 miles in a year. That’s about the length of the East Coast of the United States!
Going meatless doesn’t mean abstaining from dairy products or eggs. There’s an infinite variety of foods you can eat, starting with those listed below. If you’re interested in finding more recipes, search on the term Meatless Mondays or look up the hashtag #MeatlessMondays on twitter, instagram and Pinterest.
This particular link up is hosted by me and my blogging friends Mary of Back2BasicHealth and Christie of A Kitchen Hoor’s Adventures. All of us have meatless recipes on our sites (here’s the link to my vegetarian recipes). MeatlessMondays.org also has a recipes page as well as more information about this growing movement.
Please let us know if we can help you in plan your meals in any way!
